Artists’ qualifications: Tattooing is a skill acquired through training and experience. We judged each artist’s qualifications based on their level of experience, track record of tattoo work, and professionalism.
Studio environment: Tattooing is a delicate art that involves wounding the top layers of the skin. A studio should be clean and sterile in order to avoid infection. It should also foster a relaxing and comfortable experience for clients.
Tattoo styles: There are a plethora of tattoo styles, from American traditional to minimalist line work. As much as possible, we want to see tattoo shops with artists who specialize in diverse styles and themes.
Customer service: Getting a tattoo can be a nerve-wracking experience for a client. It’s the tattoo artist’s job to help them relax and be more comfortable throughout the process. They can do this by providing great customer service from the moment the clients set their appointment up to the point they leave with their new tattoo
